I am from Russia and I am a youth worker in Karelian Regional Youth Centre (state organization) and the President (a head) of Interregional Youth Public Movement “AVARD Association” (NGO). In IYPM “AVARD Association” I’ve worked since 2005. Annually we carry out about 30 events and social projects, including on international and bilateral issues. Our organization’s mission is the implementation of socially important initiatives and programs for youth and adults, aimed at creating the conditions for building a way of life with harmonious human interaction in society and world in general; self-improvement and spiritual development of young people and their mentors. Since 2005 I have a wide range of nice and positive experience in realization of some international youth programs in Russia. I participated also in a few leaning courses in non-formal education and got good results in personal work as a youth trainer (organisation of seminars and forums about healthy lifestyle, tolerance and creative potential). Thank you for the opportunity to develop skills of mentoring and in enhancing intercultural dialogue. Nowadays this is very important and necessary.

Why is intercultural dialogue important in general?

Youth participation in intercultural dialogue will promote the values of peace, understanding and acceptance.
